Throough showing beef cattle and working on the farm I have found a passion in the agriculture industry. Therefore, I will attend Fort Hays State University to get a degree in Animal Science. Dear Mr. Studebaker,

Thank you for sponsoring the Kansas Cattlemen's Association & Go Bob Pipe & Steel Scholarship. It is with great pleasure that I will use this worthy scholarship for many purposes in college. Next fall I will begin pre-vet courses at Kansas State University, eventually transferring into the veterinary medicine program they offer. As I was a very involved athlete, FFA officer, extracurricular club member, and an active 4-H member I am more than ready to move on to this new chapter of my life. After college I plan to return to my hometown area of Hanover, Kansas and one of my life long dreams is to have my own vet clinic in the future. I am well aware that college is going to take hard work, determination, andfaith but I believe I have the ability to be successful especially with the help of this prestigious scholarship. The excitement you get when you get acceptance letter of a scholarship is phenomenal. A lot of time is put forth towards these opportunities and I am so very thankful that I didn't take them for granted. Once again, thank you for being the donor of the KCA Scholarship.

Scholarship Program - Kansas Livestock Foundation

A Recent Letter:

It reads:

Dear Bob,

You recently spoke with my mother at the Four State Farm Show in Pittsburg. In 2012, I was the first recipient of the Go Bob Pipe and Steel Scholarship through the Kansas Livestock Association.

In the fall of 2012 I started my college career at Fort Hays State University with plans of graduating in six semesters, maintaining the Dean's List, and graduating debt free. Now, I'm staring down my last year of college earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Business and currently holding a 3.7 GPA. And so far have held my plans.

When I graduate in May of 2015, I will return to the family farm and specialize in the family swine operation and add improvements.

I look forward to the future as it holds many opportunities and experiences yet to be enjoyed. When it comes time for me to pay back all of the good deeds given to me, I only hope I can help some young person to pursue their agriculture dreams as you have done for me and others. Paying it forward is a great chain reaction!

I really appreciate your scholarship

Thank You,

Luke Bellar
